RARE 1920s silk lame velvet reversible coat | antique gold robe
Exquisite and RARE 1920's reversible robe style coat! One side is done completely in chevron patterned gold lame. The zig zag stripes are shimmery! HUGE lantern sleeves with ruching at the elbow and tight cuffs. Collar has metal stays in it (to stand up!) and is ruched cocoa silk velvet. Robe style with velvet lapels. Hem has horizontal folded panel detail. The other side is done completely in burn out chenille over sheer silk chiffon...so delicate! The velvet lapels on this side peek out but mainly you see the solid gold panels that go from the waist to the hem...so decadent! Can be worn either way. Weighs over 3 lbs.

Material: Gold Lame/Silk Velvet/Silk Chenille/Silk Organza
Condition: Excellent Vintage : Some tiny holes no bigger than a dime to the silk organza, mainly at the bottom (see last pic). Some tiny mends made to back of collar on the organza side, and a small L shaped tear to the opposite side. A tiny bit of tarnishing to the gold at the shoulders, but really faint. For the age and heaviness of this, it is remarkably in great condition!
