Ultra chic documented 1956 Lilli Ann coat! Done in the softest (like cashmere) fur and wool blend in deep shade of black and burgundy. Wide shawl collar and no closure open design. Deep inverted pleats all around make this ultra heavy with lots of swingy movement. Fox fur cuffs and front pockets. Fully lined in burgundy satin. Weighs 5.8 lbs.
The 1956 ad reads: "Fabulous fabric-of-France woven extravagantly of fur and virgin wool in Province Seim-Maritime and woven exclusively for Lilli Ann...to make the coat which smart French women consider more luxurious than mink. The silhouette with all its romantic implications is from the Lilli Ann Paris design studio...red, mustard...about one hundred and fifty dollars at all stores where young and exciting fashions are being sold."
