We love when we can find documentation on a fun print such as this! Cay Artley 1949 rayon dress done in a slippery cold rayon and printed with HUGE black TURTLES! Distictive bodice buttons, large patch pockets and front inverted pleat on the skirt. Super large, draped lapels. Wide patent slip through belt. Side zipper. Unlined.
As the ad reads: "Cay Artley gay print designs in 100 denier rayon crepe...festive under your winter coat, they'll bring a vivacious note into holiday gatherings. Nicely styled with new treatment in pockets, soft skirt, cuffed sleeves, becoming necklines and carful choice of buttons and belts. Fabric, styling and workmanship look like higher priced dresses.
